In Gudauri ski resort you are going to get a one-of-a-kind hotel experience. We are not talking about amazing panorama of Caucasus mountains and outstanding service. At 2200 m above sea level you are going to see a new boutique hotel Quadrum that has been made with repurposed shipping containers.
Behind this unusual and exciting concept there are Georgian architects Irakli Eristavi and Sandro Ramishvili. Their project advocates the idea of keeping the environment safe from the harmful effects of industrial society – the architects did not touch the landscape when building the hotel.
The hotel Quadrum has a shape of a pyramid and somehow resembles the local terrain. While “shipping containers” might sound weird to some people, the rooms are perfectly safe and moreover, aesthetically quite pleasing. Those, who are fond of skiing and snow, minimalist style and comfortable leisure (the hotel has a sauna, swimming pool and a room for yoga) might find this hotel very appealing.
